There are some variations on that as well. The basic idea is to more appropriately add the styles to <head> by using core WordPress functions.

The major problem with this method is that we’re putting users (often first-time users) into the functions.php file, which can be a dangerous place. One mistake here and you’ll definitely bring your site down. At least the @import method was a bit nicer about that.

    • WordPress and the TwentyTen Theme are licensed under GPL. You are completely free to modify them in any way you so choose.

      Though, I would recommend that you NOT change the TwentyTen Theme directly, but rather create a Child Theme to contain your changes. That way, when WordPress/TwentyTen are updated, your modifications are retained after the update.

    Jan 21, 2015 – This plugin adds a file upload functionality to the front-end screen. It allows multiple file upload asynchronously along with upload status bar.
